If I could give it 10/5 I would. Holy smokes. Steak, fries, shrimp, it's all good. Even the salad is delicious.
Great steak, but way way way overpriced! For a few more dollars I could have bought a side of beef. Not for the common working mans budget!
A must when you come to the Delta. Not only is it filled to the brim with history but it was also featured on Travel Channel with Andrew Zimmern. As you walk in trough the kitchen and see where the steaks are made and pass the famous salad bowl you are seated quickly with hospitality. No menus needed but the waitress will give you a run down of what they have to offer. You can’t go wrong with anything you pick. Sirloin is the way we went with salads and an order of chili cheese hot tamales. Impeccable service with top notch food.
I'm not a huge steak person, but this place has probably the best steak I've tasted hands down. Their fried shrimp is yummers too!
Odd historic place, amazing good food. For 4 we ordered a dozen tamales (awesome), maybe two pound of spicy boiled shrimp (yum good) and a monster 2 inch thick T-bone cut into servings (incredibly tender and delicious), along with excellent fries and a wilted salad (their specialty that's very good). It was a perfect amount of food if you like to over eat! $130 range with 4 beers. Very well worth it!
