The bathroom was nasty. There was still hair in the tub. The toilet was not clean and the floor had not been swept. I have pictures. There was a plate with an old half eaten piece of pizza still in the microwave. And I put it back so if they didn't check the microwave again it is still there. The bed was the cleanest part of the room, though against better judgement i did not inspect it with a fine tooth comb, so it could've been dirty and I just didnt know. The matress was comfortable but I would suggest you getting better pillows because the extra small square pillows provide no type of support which wouldn't make for the best nights sleep overall. I have stayed here before and don't remember having these problems, that is why I returned, but that was just ridiculous. Things that are obviously supposed to be cleaned in a hotel room were not.
Room was awesome (and huge) for the price and the staff was amazing. Super friendly.
The filthy/stained shower curtain gives the perception of an unkept bathroom. The curtain was disgusting. At check in, we were told that we were receiving the room "with all the amenities" and apparently all that means is a coffee maker, iron, and TV because the refrigerator did not cool (I am pregnant and I stored pickles in there to help with acid reflux and they spoiled by the time I needed to use them) the shampoo container was CLEARLY recycled (the blue label was worn from water exposure), and the Wi-Fi signal was not strong enough to service room 201....which was terrible for someone visiting from out of state because I could only get a 1X mobile signal from that side of the hotel and that was standing by the window. As soon. As I got outside, better mobile service. Breakfast...... oh dear God. :( It seems that the breakfast bar is not maintained. Food service is NEVER a set it and forget it element! Service hours were supposed to be from 6-9am. I sent my husband down at 815 to get breakfast for me and the biscuit, sausage, eggs, and bagel were all hard as a brick (did I mention I'm pregnant?! Lol Can you imagine the damage control my husband had to deliver after bringing me hard cold breakfast from your bar??? Lol) Needless to say, that was our 2nd biggest disappointment. The first was my overall stay. We have booked our stay with Rodeway the last 4 times (years) that we have have visited Greenville and unfortunately, each stay (room) has progressively gotten worse. We have agreed that this would be our very last stay there. We will pay the price to have the "luxuries" (that are considered standard amenities in our home state, even across all brands), despite the fact that they are priced as if they are near airports. Rodeway is not worth $60+ a night. The quality is lacking and I hate that because your location is much better than the Hampton...In fact.....I expected more from a property downtown, near gambling....which is the only entertainment that Greenville really offers. Please renovate!
The room was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good location
I think we stopped here because it was cheap and the exterior looked nice. I wouldn't highly recommend this place, but there wasn't much else to choose from if you're just passing through. We were on the 3rd floor. There is only ice on the 1st floor. All smelled like smoke. Elevator was disgusting. Water from the faucet is brown, they say it's due to tree roots. They do offer you a complimentary bottle of water. We didn't stay for breakfast.
